Vyk Does Tull!

That's right, music fans, Vyktoria is thrilled to announce that she is opening for Jethro Tull for most of their US tour in August, September, & October!

The Tull tour begins August 25th in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire and ends October 10th in Phoenix, Arizona. Vyktoria will be opening 25 of the 28 shows of the tour with a 30-minute set of new material, plus a few old favorites.

(View Vyk's Tull gig guide!)

This wonderful opportunity to open for one of the most loved and respected rock bands in the world, not to mention Vyktoria's all-time favorite band, is, according to her, "my biggest dream come true ever!" Musician/songwriter Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull's leader for more than 30 years, recently took a special interest in Vyktoria's music and personally invited her to open the majority of the tour. Whatta guy! Rumors also abound that some members of Tull may even join Vyk during her set for a delightful ditty or two! Egads! What numbskull would willingly miss out on something as neat-o keen as that?

Not too shabby for a Blue Ridge Mountain girl without a manager, agent, record company, or secretary, huh? :)

We have heard through tightly-guarded underworld contacts that Vyktoria is in fact having a very good time preparing for this tour, and the long nights at Kinko's are quite romantic... cut, paste, print... cut, paste, print.

"Well... at least I DO have the best and most wonderfully diligent web goddess in the universe who spends tireless hours researching important data crucial for the successful passage of the world into the 21st century," Vyktoria was recently quoted as saying. :)

Vyktoria would like to encourage everyone to come out to ALL Jethro Tull shows during this tour, not just the ones that she's opening, because, as if you didn't know, Jethro Tull does just happen to be the coolest band in the galaxy. Please also sprint down to your favorite music store and pick up Tull's newest CD, "j-tull Dot Com," when it's released on August 24th, and for heaven's sake, don't forget to visit their spectacular website at j-tull.com to get the latest scoop on what the band's up to these days.

(Note: This press release would be longer and more detailed but Vyktoria is currently trapped in her office by a huge mound of paper and bubble wrap.)
